A 7-12 Co-educational College founded by the Sisters of St Joseph 1883
“From the first moment that a student sets foot in a Catholic school, he or she ought to have the impression of entering a new environment, one illumined by the light of faith, and having its own unique characteristics.” (Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB)
The unique Catholic prayer and liturgical life at St Joseph’s fosters inclusiveness, hospitality, welcome and respect and are grounded in the Josephite Charism. Our prayer and Liturgical celebrations build dynamic faith communities and strong relationships, along with providing enriching faith transformation opportunities for all involved. As a College we honour major feast days and holy days central to our charism, including the feast of our patron Saint Joseph. Students participate in a variety of prayer and liturgical celebrations and willingly accept responsibility to participate.
Characteristic of our prayer and liturgy is a clear link between practice and our Catholic faith which is grounded in the person of Jesus.
Our prayer and liturgies reflect the vision of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and Julian Tenison Woods in providing a faith filled education for all.
