The PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) curriculum develops student’s knowledge and skills important for them to take positive action to protect and enhance their own and others’ health, safety and wellbeing in varied and changing contexts. Furthermore, physical education is fundamental to the acquisition of movement skills and concepts to enable students to participate in a range of physical activities – confidently, competently and creatively. In addition, students in PDHPE are provided with opportunities to enhance and develop their resilience and connectedness that enables them to interact respectfully with others.

PDHPE is studied by all students in:

  • Year 7
  • Year 8
  • Year 9
  • Year 10

PASS (Physical Activity and Sports Studies) is offered as an elective course for students in:

  • Year 9
  • Year 10

Students in Years 11 and 12 have the opportunity to study:

  • Community and Family Studies
  • Exploring Early Childhood (Year 11 only)
  • PDHPE
  • Sport Lifestyle and Recreation (Year 11 only)

Students have the opportunity to engage in a range of extra-curricular activities including;

  • 9 PASS – Indoor Rock Climbing, Gym sessions, Tennis coaching, Outdoor Recreation Camp: Broken Bay Sport & Recreation
  • 10 PASS – Balance Health Club, Technology in Sport, Fitness Testing, Coaching Certificate: AFL, Coaching at St Patrick’s Primary School Lochinvar, Ten-pin Bowling
  • 11 Exploring Early Childhood – Experiences at St Nicholas Early Education Centre, Lochinvar
  • 11 Sport Lifestyle and Recreation – Aquatics, Bronze Medallion Lifesaving, Gym sessions
  • 11 PDHPE – First Aid Certificate, Sport Science Camp: Narrabeen Sport & Recreation
